WEBVTT 00:00:03.000 --> 00:00:09.000 My name's Dave. I'm Lindsay. And we're Robalo owners. We have a Cayman 246. 00:00:09.000 --> 00:00:14.000 We seek adventure experiences that other people just might not have the luxury of 00:00:14.000 --> 00:00:18.000 having. We do this thing called the Robalo Bimini Bash and we go to the Bahamas 00:00:18.000 --> 00:00:24.000 every year in the summertime. And there's a lot of complications we're pertaining to 00:00:24.000 --> 00:00:30.000 customs and immigration, but it's all worth it once you're there. 00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:35.000 You know, on this trip, there's a couple milestones. One of them is just untying 00:00:35.000 --> 00:00:39.000 the dock lines. The other one is when you're crossing that gulf stream, you make it 00:00:39.000 --> 00:00:43.000 halfway across, and the final one is when you see Bimini on the horizon. And that's 00:00:43.000 --> 00:00:47.000 when you know you made it. And that's when all the hard work and effort really 00:00:47.000 --> 00:00:52.000 comes to fruition. 00:00:52.000 --> 00:00:58.000 A lot of people say that, well, the Florida Keys are just as accessible and they 00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:02.000 are, but the one thing that Bimini has that the Keys don't is that Bimini blue 00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:07.000 water. The Bahamas have some of the clearest, most beautiful water in the entire 00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:15.000 world. It's mind-blowing. I mean, to have this opportunity to go with friends, 00:01:15.000 --> 00:01:25.000 to do this crossing, it's once in a lifetime. And we get to do it every year. 00:01:25.000 --> 00:01:29.000 Bimini offers a lot of things, you know between fishing, snorkeling 00:01:29.000 --> 00:01:34.000 and scavenger hunts just looking for various wrecks or downed planes. 00:01:34.000 --> 00:01:38.000 One of the places that we love to go is Honeymoon Harbor. You can 00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:43.000 get off your boat and you can step into the water and there’s sharks and 00:01:43.000 --> 00:01:48.000 stingrays and all sorts of stuff swimming around you. Its just a wild experience. 00:01:48.000 --> 00:01:51.000 They’re just looking to see if you brought them anything to eat. 00:01:51.000 --> 00:01:59.000 Its kind of like a sandbar but a living aquarium at the same time. 00:01:59.000 --> 00:02:03.000 You know one of the fantastic things about our platform is a super shallow draft, 00:02:03.000 --> 00:02:05.000 a really wide beam and it can get you into 00:02:05.000 --> 00:02:08.000 the skinny areas where some of larger boats aren't able to go and 00:02:08.000 --> 00:02:12.000 they're missing out on those experiences. It's got the versatility that we can take 00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:17.000 it to the sandbar with our dog and let her have her best days and then we can 00:02:17.000 --> 00:02:23.000 take it 62 miles from florida down to Bimini and have our best days. 00:02:23.000 --> 00:02:27.000 We probably would never have considered taking our boat to the Bahamas had it not 00:02:27.000 --> 00:02:33.000 been for this Robalo owners group. Having that sense of safety and security when 00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:39.000 you're doing this type of a trip is priceless. It does give boat owners of smaller 00:02:39.000 --> 00:02:45.000 length vessels the opportunity to experience these just incredible places. If you're a 00:02:45.000 --> 00:02:50.000 first timer and you're on the fence, I'd say make it happen. You won't regret it. 00:02:50.000 --> 00:02:55.000 You know, a lot of people ask why we do this trip? Why do people climb mountains? 00:02:55.000 --> 00:03:00.000 because they're there.
